Estonian Institute invites everyone to the Language Gourmet on the 23rd of September, Wednesday, at restaurant Gloria (Müürivahe 2, Tallinn).

During the Worldwide Estonian Language Week, renowned Estonian poetess Doris Kareva reads her poetry in English and gives some context to it. Music will be performed by a violin ensemble Magic Strings. The doors of the restaurant Gloria (Müürivahe 2) will open at 5.30 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m., lasting for about an hour. After the program, guests are free to ask questions, discuss, get acquainted and if they will, enjoy a meal in Gloria restaurant or discover a variety of wines in Gloria Wine Cellar next door.

The event is an opening for series of cultural meetings brought to life by Estonian Institute. We expect English-speaking people in Estonia who are interested in culture generally but perhaps feel a bit left out and could use some directions to get acquainted with Estonian culture. The culture meetings, about once a month until spring, will bring different important figures of Estonian culture (movies, art, theatre etc) to speak about their field in English and discuss it with participants.
