The creation of Tõnu Õnnepalu is gradually opening up to Finnish readers. ‘Mõõt’ is already the sixth book by him that is published in Finnish.

The poetry collection ‘Mõõt’ – ‘Mitta’ in Finnish – has been translated by Katja Meriluoto who has specialized in poetry translations. The book is published by the publishing house Kustannusliike Parkko.

Presentation of the book will take place at the Estonian Embassy in Helsinki on April 16 at 2 pm. The publisher Tommi Parkko, the translator Katja Meriluoto and the literary researcher and the author of the afterword of the book, Mart Velsker, will also participate in the conversation with Tõnu Õnnepalu. The conversation will be translated by Petteri Aarnos.

In the same evening, on April 16 at 6 pm, there will also be a presentation party at the Helsinki Estonian House, where you can meet the writer in an informal atmosphere.
