This year’s Language Café or so called Speak Dating will take place in Narva on 23 September from 12 to 3 p.m.

Participants are welcome to learn Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, Georgian, German, Hungarian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish and Swedish. Estonian language is taught by the Estonian Institute. Every language will have a table set up for a teacher and two participants. Each “lesson” lasts 15 minutes. There will be no pre-registration, a big timetable will hang at the entrance. There will be coffee, tea, water and cookies available for all participants.

This free event is organised by the EC Representation in Estonia, to celebrate the European Day of Languages. Speak Dating is also part of the official programme of the Station Narva festival.  It will take place in a tent near the Art Club Ro-Ro.

In addition to Language Café the EC Representation will also organise the traditional web quiz for school pupils and a language guessing game on Vikerraadio. The latter is organised in cooperation with the Tallinn European School.
